HBO veröffentlicht im März die zweite Begleit-Compilation zum Serien-Epos „Game of Thrones“: Auf „Catch the Throne – The Mixtape Vol. 2“ sind neben Hip-Hop-Größen wie Snoop Dogg und Method Man auch Heavy-Metal-Bands zu finden.
Bevor die fünfte Staffel von „Game of Thrones“ im Frühjahr startet, macht HBO noch einen musikalischen Move: die zweite Edition von „Catch the Throne“ wird im März zum kostenlosen Stream bereitgestellt. Die größten Namen darauf sind Snoop Dogg und Method Man, aber Metal-Fans werden sich ganz sicher auch über Anthrax oder Killswitch Engage freuen.
Snoop Dogg freut sich als großer Fan der Serie besonders, mit dabei zu sein: „Off the top, I love Game of Thrones—I even gave my expert analysis of this season on my GGN show. It’s like the rap game, it’s gangster, about family, loyalty and trying to get to the top. I had to get involved. Give the fans a little bit of how I see it.”
Die erste Compilation von „Catch the Throne“, die im letzten Jahr veröffentlicht wurde, zählte laut HBO über zwei Millionen Streams.
